5 LATERAL RAISE VARIATIONS AND WHAT THEY DO

Learn how variations in positioning can make such a difference to your Lateral Raises.

The Lateral Raise is an amazing isolation exercise for the Deltoid's. The aim is typically to focus work on the medial section of the Deltoid, however, there are different starting positions and angles that we can place through the range of movement that can direct the effort through different parts of the shoulder as well as either make the exercise easier or more challenging.

In this Video ‪@Trainerdanhayward‬ looks at the following Lateral Raise positions;

1. Starting the Lateral Raise from the front of the body.

2. Starting the Lateral Raise from the side of the body.

3. A neutral position Lateral Raise.

4. An internal rotation Lateral Raise.

5 An external rotation Lateral Raise.

Learning how to position yourself for the aims and goals that you are trying to achieve will greatly improve your progress and provide you with much greater results.
